D-isoascorbate sodium, also known as sodium alginate, is a new type of biological food antioxidant, preservative, and color aid. It can prevent the formation of carcinogenic substances such as nitrosamines in pickled products, and eliminate adverse phenomena such as discoloration, odor, and turbidity in food and beverages. Widely used as a preservative and color aid for meat, fish, vegetables, fruits, alcohol, beverages, and canned food.

Application

D-isoascorbate sodium is an important antioxidant preservative in the food industry, which can maintain the color, natural flavor, and extend the shelf life of food. In the food industry, it is mainly used for meat products, fruits, vegetables, canned food, jam, beer, soda, fruit tea, juice, wine, etc.

●In meat products: as a coloring agent, it maintains color, prevents the formation of nitrosamines (such as nitrites), improves flavor, and makes the cut less prone to fading. Pickled vegetables: maintain color and improve flavor.

● Frozen fish and shrimp: maintain color and prevent the surface of the fish from oxidizing and producing a foul odor.

● Beer and wine: added after fermentation to prevent odor and turbidity, maintain color, aroma, and prevent secondary fermentation

● Juice and sauce: added during bottling to maintain natural VC, prevent fading, and preserve the original flavor.

● Fruit storage: spray or use with citric acid to maintain color and flavor and extend the storage period.

● Canned products: Add soup before canning to maintain color, aroma, and taste.

● Used in bread, it can maintain the color, natural flavor, and extend shelf life of bread without any toxic side effects.

● The Chinese<<Hygienic Standards for the Use of Food Additives>stipulate that they should be used for bread instant noodles. The maximum usage is 0.2g/kg for soup and 1.0g/kg for meat products.
