Description

The monohydrate of L-cysteine hydrochloride is a white crystal or crystalline powder with a slight special odor. L-cysteine hydrochloride monohydrate is readily soluble in water, slightly soluble in ethanol and almost insoluble in ether. Cys HCl H2O is stable at normal temperature and pressure, but chemical reactions may occur when exposed to high temperatures, high humidity or in contact with certain specific substances.
